  13. the music of my meat
  14.  not that which I eat
  15. but that I am made of 
  16. while I pray for the mildness of a dove
  17. and a tapping foot in the earthly venture.
  18.  I shall become a lion--beyond censure.
  19.       In the meekness of May
  20.     I'll sing all the day
  21.      in the throne of my flesh
  22.          freed of the mesh
  23.     and the gins and the traps
  24.         that bind me!
  25. THE SYNAPSE BINDS THE MUSIC IN 
  26.    THE DULL BAR HOLDS IT OUT.
  27.    The meter is there, calm as a hair, 
  28.      in the shiplash of the throat.
